Ben Johnson is a voice actor and storyteller, specializing in immersive storytelling across various genres. His website, benjohnson.media, serves as a platform to showcase his audio demos and previous voice acting work. With a British voice that conveys authentic Manchester grit, he combines his background in theatre, music performance, and marketing to deliver emotionally engaging and versatile narration.
I was born in Manchester, UK, the accent usually gives that away before I do.
My journey into performance began with training at multiple theatre and acting schools, including the Laine Johnson Acting School. I went on to graduate from Xaverian College and the University of Manchester, developing not only my performance skills but also deep expertise in marketing - an asset I bring to every project I work on.
I have a history with live performance and recording, spanning genres from hip hop to blues and reggae. Over time, my creative focus sharpened toward storytelling, bringing characters, worlds, and emotions to life through the spoken word.
My preferred narration genres include post-apocalyptic fiction, survival horror, thrillers and drama, along with classical literature such as Romance of the Three Kingdoms, The Iliad, and more.
However I am open to all projects, especially kick-starter projects.
